Whenever I go to DC, I stay at State, I love it. Because of the location, because it has a kitchen and that makes it easier for me to prepare breakfast and dinner in a healthy way. The attentions, everyone is super attentive and helpful, especially Oscar and Wilfredo, they were too good to us. They really are the best.

The only thing I have to say, that never happened to me before, is that I had a new frying pan left, which I wanted to bring back to my country and when I wrote to the hotel to keep it, they told me that it was not there and I am sure that it was there. I would have liked them to call me themselves to guarantee that my object was available and that I could pick it up. But it was not! :(

The room was excellent, very clean and big. The bed was THE BEST during my 2-week trip; kitchen facilities were wonderful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is amazing, close to major landmarks with a college atmosphere. The garden area provided relaxation. The White House, Lincoln Memorial, and more are nearby, enhancing family bonding. The only downside was the extra cost for parking.

Although my transit experience at the State Plaza Hotel was generally positive, I did encounter some minor inconveniences. The presence of bed bugs in the room and a large roach in the bathtub was a disappointing discovery.

I had to ask to change rooms after I had settled in because the door didn't close and opened systematically. I couldn't have the same standard of room (for that I had to change building)... Prices seem to vary significantly from one month to another. I have to come back in March and given the price of the room (3 times more expensive) I couldn't book this hotel.
